No. Sierra Leone passport holders are not eligible for Indonesia's Visa on Arrival or e-VoA, regardless of where you live. You need a C1 Tourist Visa - the visa formerly known as the B211A - which must be applied for and approved before you travel. We handle this application for Sierra Leone nationals living in Sierra Leone regularly.
Yes - the C1 Tourist Visa replaced the old B211A under Indonesia's revised visa index. Many agents and websites still use the old B211A name, so you'll see both. It's a single-entry visit visa for tourism, allowing a longer stay than the Visa on Arrival.
60 days per entry, and it can be extended twice for a further 60 days each time - up to 180 days in total without leaving the country. This is why the C1 suits people visiting family or taking an extended trip, not just a short holiday.
Indonesia's Visa on Arrival covers around 90 countries. Nepali, Sri Lankan, Pakistani passport holders are not included and require the C1. Indian passport holders are generally eligible for the Visa on Arrival - contact us for a current eligibility check before booking flights.
Yes, you can get tourist visa for Bali. You need a C1 Tourist Visa - the visa formerly known as the B211A - which must be applied for and approved before you travel. We handle this application for all nationals around the world.
The Indonesian government fee for the C1 is significantly higher than the Visa on Arrival, and extension fees apply separately if you stay beyond 60 days. Because fees are set in rupiah and change periodically, we quote you the exact current amount in AUD at the time of application, with our service fee shown separately.
Yes. You'll need bank statements demonstrating you can support yourself for the length of your stay. Statements should be in your own name and show a consistent balance rather than a large deposit made just before applying - sudden unexplained deposits are a common cause of rejection.
A passport valid at least 6 months beyond your intended stay with blank pages, a recent passport photo on a plain background, bank statements covering the last 3 months, accommodation details in Indonesia.
For a new C1 application a sponsor is generally not required (but recommended). However, a local sponsor is required when you apply to extend the visa inside Indonesia. If you plan to stay beyond 60 days, it's worth sorting the sponsorship question before you travel rather than after you arrive.
Processing typically runs to several business days once a complete application is lodged, and longer for nationalities under restricted arrangements. We recommend starting at least 3 to 4 weeks before departure - this is not a visa to leave to the last week.
The most common causes are insufficient or inconsistent bank statements, a passport with under 6 months validity, no confirmed onward travel, missing proof of Australian residency, and photos that don't meet specification. We check every one of these before lodging, which is the single biggest reason our applications go through cleanly.
Yes. The digital arrival and customs declaration is required of all travellers regardless of visa type. It's free on the official government portal and is submitted within 72 hours of arrival. It's an immigration formality, not a visa.
Yes. The Bali Tourism Levy of IDR 150,000 applies to all foreign visitors to Bali, whatever visa you hold. It's paid separately through the official Love Bali platform and does not replace or reduce your visa cost.
Yes, twice, for 60 days each time. Extensions must be done in person at an Indonesian immigration office and require a local sponsor. Begin the process at least two weeks before your current permit expires, as appointments and processing take time.
Overstaying incurs a fine of IDR 1,000,000 per day and can result in deportation and a re-entry ban. For non-exempt nationalities an immigration breach also makes future Indonesian visas considerably harder to obtain, so extend rather than overstay.
No. The C1 covers tourism, visiting family and friends, and permitted business meetings only. You cannot take employment, sell goods or services, or receive income from an Indonesian source. Doing so risks deportation and a ban.
Yes. Every traveller requires their own visa, including infants and children. We can prepare and lodge the whole family together in one booking.
